"just pray mommy"

I pray in the car often. I feel like this is a time in my day that I have to stop cleaning, laundry etc. We have a 50 minute round trip each day to take Leah to school so it's not uncommon for Derek to hear me pray. Today was no different except for the fact I was crying and praying a little louder than usual. When Derek prays at night sometimes he cries because he doesn't want to (ususally when he's overly tired). We always tell him "don't cry, just pray". As I am praying in the car this morning I hear a little voice come from the backseat "mommy, don't cry, just pray!"

This added laughter to my morning for sure but I am still burdened. Sumer had her second biopsy done yesterday and they are waiting to find out the kind and progression of lymphoma before starting treatment. I live 2 hours away from her right now but will be seeing her next week when I am in town for my mom's surgery.

My mom has to have a full hysterectomy and her bladder stapled. She just turned 50 so she's pretty young for all of it. Hopefully this means she will heal faster though. Derek and I are going to go stay for a week to take care of her while my dad is working. Leah and Mike will stary here so they can go to school/work.

Lots to pray about. We are still praying for Stellan also. My kids are very interested in praying for him and love that his nickname is mck muffin!
