Threes

Bad things happen in threes, right? If this is true, we should be good for a while. I told you about Sumer, she has lymphoma. They have diagnosed it as stage 2 Hodgkin's. This is actually a good diagnosis considering it's the most common and curable (90-95% survival rate). I have not heard yet what her plan for treatment is, she had the appointment just yesterday.
My best friend Jess called Thursday for prayer because she is 8 weeks pregnant (4th baby) and she had been bleeding. The ultrasound showed life but measuring at 4-5 weeks. Blood work confirmed 4-5 weeks and the blood work today showed levels going down. They will not have another ultrasound done until Wednesday but she is still mildly bleeding and is pretty certain she is miscarrying. She still has had no cramping though.
Another close friend who is 5 weeks pregnant (5th baby) has been miscarrying since 2am. It's strange because she just called Jess yesterday to be an encouragement and is now going through the exact same thing.
I am holding my kids tight today, so thankful that I have them and my health.

I'm so sorry about all the discouraging news (although your friend Sumer will surely have a good outcome with her diagnosis)

thank you for sharing with us, and I, too will say a prayer for them and be thankful for our family, health and many blessings! and I will hug them as tight as I can :)
