Crazy Day...

Yesterday started out like any other day except for the fact that I actually showered and put make-up on BEFORE I took Leah to school. My mom had her hysterectomy yesterday so I dropped Derek off at Grammas and headed the our and a half away to see her. I got there at 9:30 right after she went into surgery and sat with my dad and both grandpas. The Dr called my dad and I into the consult room at 11(he was my OBGYN for 5 years before I moved and delivered Leah. I really like and miss him!) We could tell something was wrong so when he said things didn't go as planned, it didn't surprise me. I had a peace because I really trust him. He said that when he went to cut into the uterus (through the vagina) he nicked the bowel. This immediately contaminated the area because they don't prep bowels before this surgery. He could have went ahead with the surgery but was nervous about infection. He got a second opinion from another surgeon and decided to fix the bowel and do the hysterectomy at another time. For many it would seem we need to get a lawyer and sue but we understand this was an honest mistake. Her uterus had shifted because of the bladder falling and it had pushed the bowel into an abnormal position. My parents trust him enough to do it again in 8 weeks (they will do it abdominal this time)!!!

She was fine... not even in a lot of pain. We talked and laughed all day but I didn't feel right. My neck was sore and I just felt crummy. At 6 I was going to head home but when my parents friends came they invited dad and I to Pizza Hut for dinner. We went and meanwhile I was starting to feel worse. After we got our order placed I was having a hard tome concentrating on conversation and my neck the left side)hurt even worse. My left arm started throbbing and all of the sudden my face went numb as well as my fingers and toes and I was about to faint. I said something to my dad and he almost freaked out! He rushed me to the ER. I was scared! They did an EKG...fine BP... fine Oxygen levels... fine Blood work... fine. They said I had an anxiety attack! I didn't buy it though because even with my mom's surgery, I wasn't stressed! I got ahold of mike and he came to get me. I still had neck pain and a cool numb sensation in my arm until this morning when I woke up fine!

I went to the Dr. today and he is almost 100% sure my thyroid is acting up again! They are going to do an echo cardiogram tomorrow because I have MVP so they want to make sure that is okay.
My dad was sooo cute running between the ER and my moms room! I ask that you continue to pray for my mom as she will now need to re-plan everything!!! I could go into all that GOD did yesterday but that would make this post LONGER! I will save it for another time!!!
