It's Summertime!

Hello everyone!!! Remember me??? We have been swamped lately and I have been wanting to update!! We lost our renters on May 1st (I am not sure if I posted that already) and so we have been feverishly working at getting it ready to rent. Our goal was June 1st but as all remodels go, it has taken longer! We have done a lot of work to the place and I have painted almost everything including all of the trim. The kids have been great with it all. They watch movies and play while we work. We finally put the for rent sign up today and have already gotten a call. It's really not going to be able to be shown until Monday because I have a lot of cleaning up to do.

We have also had some fun thrown in! Mike went on a guys weekend in May to Northern Michigan. They went 4-wheeling and canoeing in some amazing places. We went camping over memorial day weekend and had a blast! What a change from last summer when Derek still NEEDED a nap and was still in diapers. We have so much more freedom now!

We spent one whole day at the river

and another hiking

We also went to visit Mike's family in Medina for a parade and cookout. We go every year and it is always a great time!!

We are looking forward to enjoying our summer even though it's already so hectic. Mike and I are running our National youth conference again this year that's coming up at the beginning of July. We have a ton to do to prepare. We are also getting ready to have a new porch and windows put on our house this summer!

All in all, we are busy, but that's us! I just hope to get some time at the pool!!
